Net Zero 2050
At PHT Investment Group we support the reduction and elimination of greenhouse gas emissions. Every PHT fund will be designed to support Net Zero by 2050.
Net Zero Emissions?
‘Net zero emissions’ refers to achieving an overall balance between greenhouse gas emissions produced and greenhouse gas emissions taken out of the atmosphere.
How can we meet the goal of Net Zero?
Getting to net zero means we can still produce some emissions, as long as they are offset by processes that reduce greenhouse gases already in the atmosphere.
To meet the goal of net zero, new emissions of greenhouse gas must be as low as possible.
The good news is that the technology exists to reach net zero – and it is affordable.
A key element is powering our companies and developments with clean energy, replacing polluting coal – and gas and oil-fired power stations – with renewable energy sources, such as wind or solar farms. This would dramatically reduce carbon emissions. Plus, renewable energy is now not only cleaner, but often cheaper than fossil fuels.
PHT Investment Group is embracing these alternative and renewable energy sources – utilizing solar, cogeneration, microgrids and battery technology for our fresh produce Cold Storage facilities and in every project we take on.
